The game have no problem. Required set japaneese locale, reboot PC, reinstall game. Just download “Microsoft applocale”, install it with administrator rights, add japaneese language to language bar. But that’s not enough. Then go to the administrative language settings, “additional” tab – “language of programs that do not support unicode”. Set Japaneese as current system language and reboot. Use Microsoft locale for start the game.

        It does work, but the problem is that you’ll run into this issue for each new file encountered in the game. it is not worth your time to chat gpt the entire database, its a fools errand. surely there is a better way to get around this issue.
